My name is Mercy and I am a woman of many talents. I have two alter egos; MaKupsy and Fitness Bae. These personas have brought out different titles in my life namely; The Blogger. The Fitness Enthusiast. The Traveler. The Digital Marketer. The Content Creator. The Mother.
Motherhood is the biggest part of my life. I have a beautiful daughter Miss Kupsy (Kupakwashe). She is the love of my life. She is a ray of sunshine and a double dose of happiness. She is actually part of the reason I decided to start blogging along with many other reasons. I hope one day she will read through this and get to see some of the things that happened in my 20’s going forward. I am positive blogging is going to be a lot of fun.
My blog name is a combination of the word Amai(mother) but shortcut for Amai is Ma combined with my daughter’s nickname Kupsy, hence MaKupsy. My blog is not set in stone, it is a kaleidoscope of articles and you will definitely find something that will capture your eye.
Blogging has presented different opportunities for me in the past few months.
APPEARANCES AND INTERVIEWS
Women Wine & Words Festival
November 2018: I had the honor of being a panelist for this event and spoke on the topic of Body Positivity.
The show, a full on celebration of creative women through music, poetry, theatre and art, has been staged at the Intwasa festival for the past five years and has been a hit among festival goers. This event has clearly been admired by Harare’s leading theatre venue – Theatre in the Park through Rooftop Promotions who have partnered with Intwasa to stage the show in Harare.
July 2017: I was invited for an interview by ZiFM Stereo; the hottest station in Zimbabwe! I was live on air from 6-7am during the Breakfast Show hosted by MisRed, Captain Awesome and Marc Poz. ZiFM is the first private radio station in Zimbabwe, targeting a modern, progressive aspirational listener. You can watch part of the radio interview from here.
I’ve since appeared on a different show in relation to sharing my thoughts on various topics concerning relationships.
November 2018: WordCamp Harare 2018
October 2017: #BlogIndaba
After a successful completion of a 30 Day Blogging challenge in September participants agreed to carry on with the group and identify as BlogIndaba. Blogging encompasses written, video and audio. BlogIndaba is a meeting place. We want to foster a meeting of the minds with the aim of improving blogs (and hopefully the world while we’re at it). The word indaba means ;
2 problem or concern
3 discussion or conference
These 3 definitions capture the entirety of the purpose of this group. Watch out for our work on social media platforms using the hash tag #BlogIndaba.

I was one of the 8 chosen influencers in the country to host a national Golden Pilsener Campaign termed #GoldenPilsenerGo4Gold which has been running for the past 3 months. It has been a huge promotion and my role has been to encourage the community to exercise and enjoy the finest beer. You can check out part of the video footage challenge from here.
Partnered with UnPlugged Zimbabwe as their Resident Blogger to write monthly articles on different themes related to the event.
