Her Throbbing Confession…

At that very thought, Sharon’s door was opened and Nate stood stark naked in front of accompanied by his very hard and very mouth-watering looking dick in front of her very eyes!

Sharon was standing behind Nate and stepped forward to hold Janice’s hand to help her get up.  “Will you be joining us or you’re just going to be eavesdropping the whole night?” Sharon asked.  Janice was both speechless and embarrassed.  She walked into the room and sat on a chair close to the bed.  Nate switched on the light and this time Janice got to see his big dick in it’s full glory.  She hadn’t imagined it, it was thick enough to fill up her pussy walls and she gulped at the thought of how delicious it must feel to feel all of it.  She wasn’t a fan of huge dicks but this was one dick she would love to bounce on for a whole hour and Sharon was willing to share it!

Her attention shifted to Sharon.  She was now lying on the bed on all fours, she could clearly see her enticing and soaking wet pussy.  Nate held onto his throbbing dick with veins that looked like they would pop out from all the hardness and gently slid it into Sharon’s pussy.  Nate’s balls were hairy and at every stroke they rubbed against Sharon’s pussy lips that were now swollen with pleasure.  Sharon was creaming and it was clearly visible on Nate’s thick balls.  Janice couldn’t help herself any longer, she slowly slid off her underwear and walked towards the bed.  Watching Nate and Sharon was getting her aroused beyond control.

She lay on her back and made herself comfortable against the pillows while taking off the rest of her nighties.  She could see Nate devouring her body with her eyes and that got her all the more excited.  Her legs started to shudder as Sharon’s moans got more and more.  She was certain Nate’s dick was the sort that would have you asking him to give you a baby!  Janice slid her hand on her pussy and felt how wet she was, you would think someone had poured some oil on her but that was all her, dripping with desire and ready to receive some good dicking.  Janice started rubbing her inner thighs while watching Nate and Sharon give each other pleasure.  Sharon changed the position and was now lying on her back and begging Nate to go deeper.  Nate rode her like a beast with sweat glistening on his back and all Sharon could now scream was “Yes, yes, yes!”  He was certainly pounding her pussy right and feeding it with rich delicious strokes.

Janice went and lay right next to Sharon and started sucking on her one nipple while rubbing the other one.  Sharon responded and kissed her back passionately.  Sharon whispered in Janice’s ear and told her she knew she had been sexually frustrated for months and this was her way of helping her out.  Janice was torn in two and didn’t know what to do but kept kissing Sharon all the way down to her throbbing clit.  Sharon had a beautiful body and the most succulent breasts she had ever seen.  She gently sucked on her fleshy clit until her whole body was quivering from receiving hard strokes from Nate and wet kisses on her clit from Janice.  Janice lay on top of Sharon and continued to kiss her and feel on her breasts, tummy and ass.

Their bodies were now moving in rhythm and Janice’s clit was rubbing against Sharon’s tummy while Sharon got strokes from Nate.  Both Sharon and Janice started breathing heavily while Janice’s pussy got wetter and wetter; Sharon could feel it all over her lower body.  Sharon commanded Nate, “Just give Janice your hard dick the pleasure is too much to take in on my own!” Nate acted like he didn’t hear but he knew the moment Sharon started screaming like that she was close to an orgasm.  A few more deep strokes and a slight shift in position and both Sharon and Janice were breathing heavily.  Nate was going hard, hot, deep and fast!  Sharon came so hard she screamed the whole apartment down!  Janice kissed Sharon’s earlobes and started grinding on her vibrating tummy a little faster and could feel shivers in her body moving from her toes right to her ass, her pussy getting tighter, her breasts all the more sensitive, her clit feeling like someone was pulling at it from the inside and just before she was about to have the most intense orgasm of her life she felt Nate’s hard dick thrust inside her wanting pussy!

Janice woke up with a start, she missed her phone alarm and woke up a whole 30 minutes late.  It was Thursday morning and a working day for that, her boss was not going to be amused, she hadn’t even been 2 months into her new job!

I’m definitely going to stop drinking during the week she muttered to herself.  Alcohol is not my friend.  Now I’m having the most fertile of dreams!

Love Is Winning In 2018!

I have declared 2018 to be my year of love.  Most of my love stories have ended on a disastrous note usually with me suffering a serious case of heart break but not this year.  This year my love life is going to flourish, I’m going to love out loud and I’m going to share a lovely post on how love has won this time around before the year ends.  I feel something positive coming my way!

For some reason love and music seem to go hand in hand for me and there’s this Afrofusion artist who has stolen my heart musically!  His name is Ashton Mbeu Nyahora and he is part of the group; Mbeu and The Mhodzi Tribe.  If you don’t know him you are obviously living under a rock. Think love, celebrating women, daily struggles in our country and celebrating life.  He sings it all.

JPEG MBEU.jpg

I got in touch with him and asked him what or who influences him musically;

Everything around me influences my music and I owe my mentoring to Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi. To date we still go and seek advice from him, he is a fountain of wisdom.” – Ashton Mbeu

A few facts about Mbeu and The Mhodzi Tribe:

  • Ashton’s family wanted him to join the army but his chose his musical passion instead.
  • The genre of their music is called Mhodzi Music but their fans prefer to call it Afrofusion; the group is not afraid to experiment with different genres.
  • Mbeu and The Mhodzi tribe  are all professional and full time musicians working towards penetrating the international platform.
  • The age groups of the band members vary from 22 to 28 years old.

This is one of my favourite tracks, I even have it on my running playlist!

You can get in touch with the band on Facebook (@MbeuTheMhodziTribeBand) they are very responsive on that platform.

My personal favourites by the band are:

  1. Mbeuyashe
  2. Dhabuka
  3. Ndapfugama
  4. Chawakandidira
  5. Hazvineyi

As I was saying; love is beautiful, relationships are oh so lovely.  However when you get into a relationship I hope and pray that you and your partner take time to talk about what your relationship is about and which direction it’s taking.  Be clear about what it is you want and need.  The year is 2018 refuse to waste your time on things that don’t grow you, relationships included.🤗

How’s your new year coming along?  Have you started working on your resolutions as yet?  Have you listened to Mbeu and The Mhodzi Tribe before?  If yes, what are some of your favourite songs?  If not, what are you waiting for???

Day 1: My Blogging Journey

Last year I challenged myself to blog for 30 straight days in September and this year I had no plans of going through that madness on my own.  I think if you consider yourself a blogger then that challenge is something you need to do try out at least once.  This year I went through the challenge options on Google search and nothing on there got me excited.  All the topics were uninspiring and I thought to myself why are bloggers in Africa not coming together to make some noise about our colourful continent?  No offence on the “Share your outfit of the day topics” but gosh they are tiring to say the least!  I’m that one person who no longer wastes time hoping someone else will create something,I now make s*it happen!  I spread the word on different social media platforms and wasted no time bringing African Bloggers in one space to get involved in what the group termed the #30DayAfriBlogger Challenge

7370ce25-2499-4e84-ac4e-295926614536.jpg

Emotional Well-Being

When I started blogging I was still hurting over past relationships.  I was in an a very bad space.  I needed somewhere to bleed out my emotions.  I had no idea putting my thoughts on my blog would actually help me heal.  It was a tough journey but when I wrote about my experiences and I read through comments I realised that I was not alone when it came to some of the things I had been through.  A problem shared really is a problem halved.  When I look through my posts now I realise I have really come a long way and I can safely say I am happy and I let go of all the things that used to steal my joy.  It’s a great space to be in.  Sharing my story and being a part of the blogging world activated my mind to opportunities.  Not only seeing opportunities but acting on them as well.  I am currently a blogger for UnPlugged Zimbabwe and enjoying every moment of it.  What’s not to love about pursuing the things that fire your soul?

Health

The same time I started blogging was the same time I started my health and fitness journey.  There is nothing that puts you under pressure as much as documenting an activity because now you have to actually show some results!  However, it was a great move because if I had not done so I probably would not have lost 10 kgs in a year!  The toughest year of my life if you ask me.  It’s really easy to gain weight, it can happen in a space of days, losing weight on the other hand is a real mission!  I have made new friends through the different challenges I set up each month.  (I have also gone on to create another blog that is specifically for fitness and you should check it out!)  Creating challenges not only helps me stay focused but those around me also get that extra drive to exercise because they can see that I am consistent and actually get results.  Now I have the body I always wanted and I feel fantastic!  I will tell you this for free…maintaining your weight is the hardest part of the journey.  One of the best things that has come from my blogging journey so far is partnering up with Steward Health for both the September Challenge as well as working together on my vision of parkruns in Harare.  It promises to be an exciting journey ahead.

Humour

There have been occasions I have been upset about something and all I want to do is rant about it on a blog post.  The ironic thing is after a few sentences into the post I actually find that I am being petty but continue to write about it all the same.  You see, life doesn’t really have to consume you with negativity.  Fair and fine you will have a bad day or two but there is always something to smile about.  Blogging has helped me through bad days because I have a few blogs that I follow that specialise in humour and there is never a dull moment there!

I have had access to some exciting events and partnered up with some digital savvy brands over the years, that’s definitely the upside of being a blogger.  I have worked with #PPCZimbabwe #ZarkLaunchParty #ZimBiggestBraai #NafunaTV #UnPluggedZim #KidzCan #NaturalsZW #GoldenPilsenerGo4Gold

Blogging has given me the voice I didn’t realise I actually had.  I am MaKupsy.  The Blogger. The Fitness Consultant. The Traveler. The Naturalista. The Social Media Influencer. The Mother.

I would like to hear from bloggers…what was the reason you started and are still blogging?  What are some of the lessons you have learnt over time?

For the readers, what do you enjoy reading the most from my blog and what keeps you coming back for more?

You too can take part in the #30DayAfriBlogger Challenge, the more the merrier.

Man Crush Monday : Chef Takura

Every woman wants a man who can cook; okay I lie, I love a man who can cook so I will speak for myself on this one.  Imagine getting home to a meal prepared with nothing but tender loving care by your one and only.  Chef Takura (hello beard gang) took some time out to share spinets of his story with me and you can read all about it below.

Poached Eggs with bacon and guacamole

I have always loved cooking, working in hospitality made the choice easier.

My favorite meal changes so often. I am into soups at the moment. I also always love making pizza and pasta from scratch because they are so versatile for toppings and sauces!!
I currently work at Forest Hills Resort as the Managing Director.  I love building and making our product better. Sadly I have very little time to cook. (There goes my dream to have a Chef Bae!)  Forest Hills is a beautiful location many places to hike and enjoy nature.

Being the wine lover that I am I couldn’t resist asking him on his thoughts on food and wine…
Pairing food and wine was my last job in Australia where I was the Head Sommelier (a wine waiter) at a Modern European Bistro. Pay attention to the weight of the dish as well as flavour. A hearty beef dish will go better with a full bodied red wine and a light spicy Asian dish would go better with a lighter white wine. Experiment a lot and see what your palette enjoys!!!
I do try and exercise as much as I can. The nice thing about living on a mountain is that EVERY walk has an incline!! I also like to swim and skip.
I have just gained a little more fitness and I get to see the area and take loads of nature photos.  The greatest challenge I have had so far when it comes to exercising is making time and there is no one to work out with out here.  Chef Takura needs to read about the benefits of running alone.  However, I do enjoy running, I will start running when I get someone to chase me!

Album Review : While I Was Away (Prayersoul)

Music is the art of thinking with sounds. – Jules Combarieu

19074880_301242363654797_809233050_o.jpg

Prayersoul

I had made one too many promises to attend one of Prayersoul’s events but last Friday I told myself that come what may I was going to go and watch his live performance.  The venue was well laid out with a comfortable sitting area, drinks that were reasonably priced and a bonfire to keep us warm because winter nights are not being very friendly at the moment. (well thought out if you ask me) Prayersoul was interactive with the intimate crowd throughout his performance.  That makes a world of difference because not only did he get to play his music he also took time to share his story with his biggest fans.  I found that to be one of the outstanding things about the whole show.  I got myself a copy of his new album While I Was Away and I could not wait to get home and have a listen.  Attending this do was my highlight of the week, I didn’t regret it at all.  It was a beautiful experience and you should have been there!

19104963_301242416988125_1290936778_o.jpg

While I Was Away is Prayersoul’s Second Album.  The NeoSoul musician released his 10 Track album early this year.  The album genre is mainly NeoSoul but it has a blend of a lot of African Nuances in percussion, guitars, rhythm, and vernacular lyrics in most songs but clearly all soulful.  I listened to his album all weekend long and I must say, I was not disappointed.

I already have not one but four favourite tracks from his album and you should have a listen.

Track 3: Uxolo

This was a pleasant surprise.  I didn’t realise that Prayersoul was a Bulawayo boy! Nothing wins me as much as listening in to music that has vernacular lyrics.  English is alright no doubt but vernacular always brings the message home.  In this track he sings about forgiveness.

Track 4 : Million Reasons

My mind went back in time.  It reminded me of the days when love was honest, pure, no games and you were not afraid to be vulnerable.  Remember that time you could sit down with your partner and count the many ways why they meant the world to you?  We are now living in times where you have to extremely guard your heart because you have no idea what the next person’s intentions are.  This is something a lot of people can relate to, when you get your hands on his album make sure this is one of the first tracks you listen to.

Track 5: Go

Screaming!!! The moment I listened to this my mind went straight to Zumba.  It has a Samba feel to it.  I have added it to my running playlist.  I already have a mental image of what the music video would look like.  Women in short dresses, men in tight pants and shirts unbuttoned down to reveal their chests, everyone sweating from all the dancing, smokey room by the beach and some men seated and enjoying the music while smoking some cigars!!  It will be a great setup to go with this track that was clearly made for dancing.

19141483_301242360321464_501600335_n

Prayersoul

After listening to this album one three many times and obviously annoying the heck out of my neighbours I finally got a chance to read through his shout outs.  What pulled at my heart strings was his last shout out that he gave to his wife, Nadine.  You know how they say you always save the best for last…It is beautiful to watch couples celebrate and support each other especially on a creative journey that a lot of people do not understand.

Thanks to attending his live show I got to find out a few things I didn’t know about Prayersoul.

  • He writes his own songs.
  • His favourite social media space is Facebook.
  • He was born in Bulawayo.
  • He moved to Masvingo for High School and University education.
  • He plays a little bit of bass guitar and a bit of piano.
  • He has a BSc in Social Sciences.  When he was looking for a job he would occasionally perform and he started getting calls for his performances.  He never got a call for any of the CVs for his Degree.  He started getting paid for his performances and that became his job.
  • He facilitates for guitar lessons for age groups starting 4.5 years to as old as possible, watch his social media for details.

This is my first album review and I can safely rate 8 out of 10 for While I Was Away.   You have to do yourself a favour and attend one of his events, his live performances are captivating.  You know I always recommend quality things and this album will be worth your money, trust me.  If you are looking for an album that will soothe your soul and take you to a happy place then you’re in luck!  Prayersoul is a talented man and I wish him all the beautiful things on his creative journey.  Keep making soulful music Mr Soul!

Prayersoul says the best advice he ever got when he was starting out on his journey was that you need to find out what makes you unique because everyone else is already doing the same thing that you are doing.  Find your Africanness!

Secrets To Body Weight Training

Paul Bako is a vibrant young man who always had a passion for fitness. He attained a Degree in Business Management at Solusi University and worked for NSSA.  He decided to pursue his passion full time. He is a self taught Yogi who still practices Yoga regularly but he focuses on Calisthenics. Calisthenics is a discipline of body weight exercise that builds strength, increases balance, physical ability and flexibility. Paul is also an avid reader and a writer. He believes that life is meant to be experienced and not just lived so you may find him doing crazy and even risky things. An ambivert by nature he exudes positive energy and enthusiasm but you may not see him out and about too often.

Paul T. Bako #RunWithFitnessBae.jpg

What makes you tick?

Life itself makes me tick. Just the knowledge that there is so much to see, do, know, experience and cherish makes me get up every morning. I wake up so excited to live because I don’t know which day will be my last so I make the most of all of them.

You could have chosen any form of exercise to stay fit, why did you choose calisthenics?

Calisthenics as a word originated from two Greek words which in English are ‘Beautiful Strength’. I have always been into fitness but once I saw the ability, agility, strength, flexibility, coordination and graceful manner of moving calisthenics would grant me I was sold. I chose calisthenics because it resonated with my nature. I’m free spirited, creative and progressive. Calisthenics is the same and way more.

What are your thoughts on Rest Days?

Rest Days are just as important as workout days. Working out and resting are two sides of an amazing coin. There must always be balance. If you work out a lot, rest a lot. Muscle grows and conditions when at rest. To work out more than you rest leads to burning out due to the body producing cortisol which is a stress hormone but no need to get too technical. Just rest!

5552ff13-4027-4001-b215-34527478f11c.jpg

What’s your favourite meal of the day and why?

I LOVE BREAKFAST!! Breakfast sets the tone for the whole day so it is my favourite. I also have time to cook in the morning so that gets me excited.

Do you eat carbs?

I eat carbs quite a bit. I prefer clean carbs like oats and vegetables. Oh yes, vegetables have carbs too. Occasionally I indulge my sweet tooth with a bran muffin or a chocolate croissant. I just stay away from heavy starch food like sadza.

a3327f74-046c-407e-9ffd-d1b1db1d9667

How do you grow muscle using body weight?

That takes a bit of time to answer but in a nutshell: few sets with lots of repetitions using compound exercises that engage a number of muscle groups at once. Eating carb based food then resting comes after. Increasing intensity of exercise as you grow bigger and finally, believing in yourself. Your mind is the real key to your fitness.

What do you love about Calisthenics?

I love how easy it is to keep your workouts interesting. You can regulate how hard or easy an exercise gets with ease. I also love how easy it is to see that you are getting stronger and progressing, not to mention the fact that calisthenics chisels the body to the point of making regular men Spartans.

How often do you work out?

I work out 3 times a week for a maximum of 45 minutes. However, I stretch every other day. Real stretching is its own workout as I have come to realize but I do it for about 15 minutes so it doesn’t exhaust me.

Say I wanted to start calisthenics today how long would I have to wait to start seeing results?

If you are really focused and paying attention to your form then 21 days is all it takes to start enjoying the perks of Calisthenics.

f8b9e7c9-f79e-4515-b0a7-2d692460838c.jpg

What can people expect at the Fitness in the Park Event on Saturday?

They can expect to see me. LOL. They can expect the story of how I started doing Calisthenics, a breakdown of the big 6 moves that make up the back bone of calisthenics and examples of the big 6. They can also expect a showcase of the type of strength, agility and craziness calisthenics promises. Maybe some Yoga flow motion too!

Any life nuggets to share with those on their fitness journey?

I have a lot of those but the most important ones would be:

  • Remember the result you want but focus on the process. If you focus on the result it will seem unattainable.
  • Approach everything you do with positivity. If you make a mistake learn from it. If you are drained rest and pick it up tomorrow. Don’t think in terms of difficulty. See everything as a challenge you surmount because you can.
  • I’ll take it right out of Kendrick’s mouth and say ‘Be Humble.’ Pride limits growth and success. Ask for help when you need it.
  • Don’t spend time in front of a mirror searching for definition. Work out till everyone around you becomes a mirror that tells you how awesome you look.
  • Celebrate every little victory because life is too short to wait for the big ones.

04bfb395-6ad7-4165-a925-c875a549861a.jpg

Love what you do and your love will be returned tenfold. Even if its fitness love it all the same and it will give you more than you could ever bargain for.

Thank you for the beautiful feature Paul.  I am looking forward to tomorrow’s event. If you have any questions for him feel free to drop them in the comments section.

Happy Friyay!

UnPlugged : Pineapple Creative Studio

UnPlugged is a well organised event and those who have been would never miss it for the world, come rain or shine. Despite the rains the event went well and this was a reminder that good music brings people together. I had the pleasure of attending yet another Unplugged do (the joys of being a blogger) and this time I was specifically there to watch Pineapple Creative Studio perform.  The dance crew performed well and I had a chance to speak to them after the event.

About Pineapple Creative Studio

Pineapple Creative Studio is something that gave me many restless days and sleepless nights.  It was my biggest fear and my biggest dream. I felt like there was no space for Creatives to be accepted for who and what they are in a society that does not fully appreciate or understand creatives and how we tick.  A place where there are no rules and people are not panel beat into writing in a certain way, dancing to a certain beat and thinking in a certain way.

Pineapple Creative Studio is a place where there is nothing but passion and love.  A place where we do not allow life to get in the way of our dreams.  In as much as we do dance for now, it is the tip of the iceberg.  I am working towards Pineapple Creative Studio becoming the place where talent and passion is nurtured in its wild state. Where artists, poets, writers, photographers can come together and make magic.

A place where children can also embrace their uniqueness and make a living out of it. I intend to merge it with life coaching and  team building and raise a generation of creative leaders. It scares me but I’m grateful for the people that have believed in the dream from its inception in October 2016 to date. I have gained a family and amazing friends.

Pineapple Creative Studio is my life. – Pineapple

21 Questions with MaKupsy

Hello everyone, it’s been a beautiful day so far.  I hope you are looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. A few minutes ago I got an email from a fellow blogger Kudzai and I didn’t realise it was blog related.  I thought I had nothing to write about today and he magically came through for me.  He has hit me up with 21 Questions and trust me he is not ready for the come back I have for him!  Let me get to answering him as honestly and and as quickly as I can, my body is here but my mind is already out there celebrating the end of the working week!

  • A few people know your name, and also want to know the inspiration behind your blog name. Would you shed some light on that?

My name is Zvie.  My blog name derives from two things.  The first being “Ma” which is short for amai(mother) and “Kupsy” which is my daughter’s nickname.  I put the two together and came up with MaKupsy.

  • A lot of the times we see tweets about Marondera. Can you tell us about where you’re from?

My family moved around a lot when I was little.  I was born when we stayed in Kariba, then we moved to Chinhoyi when I was around 4 years old.  We left for Marondera in 1994.  I did my Primary School education in Marondera and High School, College and Work was in Harare…Help me decide where exactly I am from because I don’t know either.  LOL

  • What actually inspired you to start blogging?

Love/ lust, I am not really sure which one of the two it was but I think the latter because at some point the feeling went away.  I didn’t know how to tell a guy I was spending a lot of time with that I had the hots for him so I decided to write a blog post which he never saw.  How sad.  The other reason was to document my Fitness Journey.

  • Which of your blog posts are you most proud of?

The one I am most proud of has to be Butterfly .  I bled all my emotions out of that post.  I needed to let go off all the hurt and pain I had gone through and I did so the best way I know how; through writing.  It spoke to a lot of women and it is one of the most popular posts on my blog.

  • Can you say your blogging experience has helped your writing and communication skills to improve?

It definitely has!  I can’t just write up something and publish it.  I have to go over it once, twice, sometimes three times to check if there are no spelling mistakes, no grammatical errors, having to think of flavoured words, smooth transitioning of sentences; it’s not as easy as it looks but with time you get better at it.

  • You’ve gained a reputation for talking about subjects people generally take as sensitive. How do you do it?

I didn’t realise I had gained a reputation for writing about the subjects that intrigue me the most.  I am not sure if it’s a good or bad reputation though so you have to tell me more on this one.   To be honest, I am one of those bloggers who simply speaks/tweets/writes exactly what’s on her mind.  My blog is my space to entertain my thoughts so it’s a no holds barred area so I do it so easily.

  • What subject have you always had a passion for talking about? Is there a story behind this?

Most times I am passionate about writing on issues that women face.  From heartbreak, unfair treatment, body image issues, domestic violence the works.  The reason being I am woman above everything else, I have and still experience some of the things I have mentioned and also because I know my stories speak to other women right here in Zimbabwe and the world at large.

  • Everyone knows, you absolutely hate bad sex. Can you give us a snippet of one time you can say you really experienced some horrible loving?

I really need to stop over sharing.  The moment I read EVERYONE I just realised I talk too much!  Well, I once wrote about an incident over here so you can get a scoop of some of the horrible loving I received (or didn’t receive in this case).

  • Men in suits just do it for you, don’t they?

YES, YES AND YES!!

  • What qualifies as the biggest turn off for you?

The biggest turn off has to be typos and all this shorthand that’s supposed to be the in thing. I CAN NOT STAND SHORT HAND.  People are out here acting like letters are being sold if you want to use them.  The moment someone I am talking to on any social media platform starts with the shorthand nonsense I ignore them.  It truly grates on my nerves!

  • Your Fitness Program has also earned you quite the reputation. What inspired you to start running?

If I had not weighed in that fateful day when I went to visit my doctor I would probably not be Fitness Bae right now.  Two years ago I weighed 85kgs.  For someone who is only 163cm that is bad, very bad.  I was shocked beyond words because that was the exact weight I was when I was pregnant with my daughter.  Just a few days before giving birth I was 85kgs and there I was weighing the same weight and not pregnant.  It gave me the biggest wake up call of my life.

  • I imagine a lot of people pester you with “I wanna start working out too, can you give me some advice?” kind of questions. Maybe you could put it to bed once and for all for us amateurs LOL

Yes, I get those questions all the time and even after telling people what to and what not to do some won’t go ahead and start on the fitness journey.  The truth of the matter when it comes to fitness is that YOU have to want to do it.  People can suggest you do something about your weight but as long as you don’t want it yet it will never happen.  The only motivation that works with fitness is self motivation.

  • Obviously somewhere along the line, you thought of giving up. What kept you going?

When I initially started my workout program in August 2014 I had days I truly wanted to drop the whole thing.  My legs, thighs, shins everything hurt because my body was used to being idle.  I remember my dad telling me to keep at it because it was certainly going to hurt in the beginning.  I have kept going for a couple of reasons;

  1. I want to win all the Mother’s Races at my daughter’s school,
  2. I want to live longer and lead a healthy lifestyle,
  3. The results I see every week are amazing and I look so much better in my clothes, who would have thought I would own yellow, pink and all the pretty colour bras, they only have them in small sizes by the way!
  4. Running gives me feel good hormones and I can never imagine my life without it.
  5. I have made incredible friends thanks to my running addiction and they have made some amazing contributions in my life.  It would not be the same without them.
  • You love food (This is no secret). Coupled with your fitness program, doesn’t this present significant challenges to your love for making your taste buds dance, and to your fitness lifestyle?

The trick is to balance out everything.  The moment you deprive your body, the moment you over indulge.  I love my food without a doubt and what works for me is portion control and making sure I prepare the meals myself whenever I can that way I get to choose all the ingredients that go into the meal.

  • What’s the best restaurant you’ve been to in Harare? Have you blogged about it before?

I have been to a handful of restaurants so far but this year I have to admit that Victoria 22 took my breath away.  I went there for my birthday and I was absolutely wowed.  Yes, I blogged about it, that’s one of the other things I enjoy on my blog, writing about Restaurant Reviews.  The link for the Victoria 22 experience is here.

  • Are men trash?

LOL, how random is that question?  I will throw the same question back at you, are women trash?

  • There was one blog that caught my attention, about single mothers. You really went in on this one. Have you any words about the subject and people’s perception towards it?

I remember the blog.  It was meant to run as a series but I could not get enough people to contribute, it can still be done if I put my mind to it.  Just watch this space for details…About Single Mothers, society is messed up.  The moment they hear someone is a single mother they throw judgement and yet they don’t even know her story.  People need to grow up and stop treating single mothers like they have some sort of a disease.  Women are raising  a child or children on her own for different reasons.  Life happens, no one is perfect after all is said and done.

  • Your pride and joy…can you pick out one of your proudest mummy moments?

It was a random day that I spoke to Miss Kupsy over the phone.  I always tell her I love her at the end of each conversation.  That day I was in a rush and quickly said goodbye.  She called out “Mhamhi!” from the other end before I hung up then I replied her and she said “I love you”.  My heart melted, that was the first time she said that without me telling her first.  I was in puddles of joy, she is my little ray of sunshine.

  • You drink more than I do. You’re a fan of vodka too. So I am sure you have a story to tell about the most drunk you’ve been before. We’re listening…

You love stories way too much.  The funniest story I can recall that is Vodka related is the first time my cousin and I tried it.  When we got back home we struggled to go up the stairs.  We stayed on the fourth floor but thanks to having one too many we got to the third floor and tried to unlock the door.  It wouldn’t open and we passed out right there in the passage.  We got up sometime in the morning when we started feeling cold and obviously back to being sober and realised we were on the wrong floor!  Amateur drinking right there!  Now I’m a pro, come to me for the best Vodka mixes in town.

  • Can you recommend a good book to read, that isn’t Karma Sutra or Mills and Boon?

I have never in my life read a Mills & Boon, that was never my portion.  I recommend you get your hands on Half of A Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie you won’t put that book down.  If you are into our very own local literature read The Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu, it took me 3 days to finish it, it was that good!

  • Finally, can we expect much more from MaKupsy in the following months? Is there anything in the pipeline? Or is it a secret? Shall we keep our eyes and ears open?

You are not ready for the things I have lined up Fitness wise.  It’s going to be amazing, your go to place for all things workout related.  It’s not a secret but a surprise.  Come December this year, you will me totally blown away!
